early 99 ts 6 position chip

Just installed a ts 6 position chip and man what a difference it makes in performance(from stock). It is canned tunes though. My question is when I put it on the 140 setting it runs but spits and shudders and then takes off. I am assuming that it is probably too much for the truck just wanted to ask and see if anyone else has had the same problem.

Re: early 99 ts 6 position chip

mine are straight ts tunes and takes off strong..burps out some nasty smoke if turbo is not spooled at all from a stop...in some times the shifts can be truck shaking hard though..it depends on its mood.

Re: early 99 ts 6 position chip

Yeah that is about were mine is but, if I start to stop its like it wants to die out but it doesn't do that in any of the other settings. It has a really choppy idle in 6 also.

Re: early 99 ts 6 position chip

Yeah it was new. Could it be the flywheel? It is bone stock besides chip and straight piped. I saw a video of a OBS that was idling rough with a chip because of the flywheel.
