Does anyone have advice/pictures?

So I have been searching for the past 3 days, sent a few emails and all of that and I am hoping this forum will give me some good answers. I have posted on other forums, sent emails to sails reps at tire rack and I have read pages upon pages of documents on google search's and I am just trying to get a definite answer.

I have a 2002 Ford F350 and I have a 2.5" Shackle leveling kit in the front of the truck and it is time for new tires and rims. Well of course I am trying to figure out offsets and everything for no rub.

So I have a 17x8 inch rim with a 4.48 backspacing and 00mm offset and I am wondering will 35x12.5R17 fit on this rim, if I have to trim my bumper I just don't want it to rub on my leafs and I understand I will lose some turning, or should I bring down the tire size to a 315x70R17? or just do a 33x12.5R17

Thank you for everyone's help.

Re: Does anyone have advice/pictures?

Isn't 8 inch rim to narrow for a 12.5 wide? I mean I'm sure it will go on, but it seems to be better suited on a 9inch.

ive ran 315's on stock rims. 12.5 on 8's is common. i used to run 315/75/16 with just a levelin kit. the backspace on those rims will help you out as well but they won't stick out to bad either

That's what I am saying about getting mixed information and everything.

Thanks Bruce, some reassurance is always needed. Especially with this big of an investment.

I ran 315-70R17 BFG AT's on 17X8 rims w/ 4.2" backspacing for the past 40,000 miles. 2.5" leveling kit and absolutly no rub on bumper or fender at any angle. Backspacing and width helped alot. Outer edge of tread was even with the fender.
Just put on 16X10 rims w/3.25" backspacing and 37's that rub both places, given the rim width and backspacing (just bumped the outer lip out 3") I think even 35's would rub at full lock in off camber situations with this combo.

'00 Excursion Limited w/170k (rebuilt), 4X, V/B codes, 35" Toyo, 4" intake/exhaust, WW, TW, Isspro, FF Stage 1, T500- mix of '00/'05/'08/'12/'14 parts
SOLD: '00 F350 CC, '95 F350 CC, 2X '83 F250 6.9's.

Awesome, I appreciate the input. I am pulling the plug and going to buy my rims and my tires tonight and if there is some rub, I will deal with it when it comes up. My tires are pretty warn down so time for new and bigger.
