Bb turbos also cant be rebuilt as cheap or easy as a jb turbo. It means exhaust back pressure valve. It would be cheaper and easier to sell the 38r and get the d66 that way you can just bolt it on and be done.

Re: gt38r in early 1999 7.3

with the money you'll spend on upgradin you could upgrade to a s366 on irates t4 and have a much better set up. lots have people have went from e99 to l99 stuff and wished they would have went the t4 route

^agree...(unless you have a L99-03 7.3 donor engine available to swap parts from)

orrrr. you have a manual transmission, which might benefit a touch from the 38R over the S366...

but an S366 is tough to beat...just have to pony up for the mount.

pedestal comes in two flavors ebpv and non.
ebpv -exhaust back pressure valve is a warm up valve that closes..(the thing that makes your turbo sound hissy in the winter)

the delete simply eliminates it, some use it as a cheap brake, others remove it.

the uppipes are larger and longer..international makes a bellowed set for 400 ish..if you hasve to buy them the bellows leak less. Di has a one piece as well.

spider.is the x looking thing aka baby butt...sd is larger.
you can get the cfm+ system as an upgrade but not really worth it for the gains.

intake plenums are the long black tin looking things , two of them.
the hole is larger on the late models..wise upgrade are the re-enforcing rings that slip in and keep you from crusing them when you tighten down the boots.

you will also need various boots and clamps for the larger pieces.
dieselsite has by far the best as far as durability...well mr.bobs boots are great but omg $$. dieselsite bobs boots are great.

but if your looking for the best 38r type mount it would be bellowed up pipes, a cfm+ mount, some would sau ebpv delete pedi

Early 99 f350 4x4 crew cab, auto. pmt2 pcm
2001 cup holder ,T500, MAX AC ASSIST AC mod, Diy Twin tymar, TS chip, Powerslots & Hawk pads, ford AIC, ..... with big fat want to list.
