wastegate?

Hey guys I am putting a ported compressor housing on my truck and was curious as to what would happen if i didnt put my wastegate back on. how would this affect the engine and the performance of the turbo? ive heard of it with the 1.15 housings but what would happen with the stock .84?

Re: wastegate?

to much back psi and heat if you go over 30lb of boost..if your good at keeping boost where it belongs then nothing will happen... hard to do when your racing or smoking the tires..better of depending on the gate to do its job...

Early 99 7.3 F350 auto,TN T-4 mount with a s467 for air,H-11's stud's SRP 1.1 for oil all supplied by unlimited diesel..beehives, DI push rod's, new alliant 315/200 hybrids,Driven diesel fuel system with a fuel lab 41401. ...tuned by Gearhead..

Re: wastegate?

yes it will if you have a boost fooler in place... if it was me, I would run the turbo master..it will provide a more efficient boost ...or tighten yours and hope for the best...
