will the stock system hold up on a daily driver tune as in 400hp. the higher tunes will not be used intill the rr gets on it

Re: 238cc/100%

Its all in how ya drive it, plus youll have to get the chip reburned for the single shots and the tuner can de-tune them

Re: 238cc/100%

I ran them for awhile on my stock obs system.
The highest 2 tunes would surge if you held the pedal down too long.
The other 4 tunes were no problem.
I should note it was a brand new stock replacement pump put in at the same time as the d66 and 238's.

You'll be fine for a little while if you can restrain yourself.
Just keep it out of the higher tunes or you could damage the plungers and barrels from bottoming them out due to the low fuel pressure.

Re: 238cc/100%

I just rebuilt my engine and put in a set of FFD 238/100s along with a T-500 HPOP and Driven Diesel fuel bowl delete RR. Running detuned in DD 80hp tune till I get a 38r turbo. Surprisingly it does not smoke unless I take off real hard from a stop and cleans up nicely. Don't notice the single shot hybrids being any louder at idle than the split shots. Runs smooth and has lots of power potential. You will like them.

As stated by the previous poster, you should be fine running detuned but you will definitely want to get a regulated return setup soon. I highly recommend the Driven Diesel kit. If you go the bowl delete route, plan on getting a post pump 2 micron filter to protect the injectors.
