Whitch belt is best?

Im changing my serpentine belt tensioner with the one from motorcraft as its chirping with 173,000 miles on it and wondering what belt is the best for replacement? Ive used the gator back with ####ty results. Is the motorcraft the best or is there a better aftermarket belt I can get?

Stick to motorcraft. 173,000 is good life, and no gambles on quality.

Re: Whitch belt is best?

If you have the upper radiator hose which runs through the center of the belt, you can replace it with one which I believe goes on the engine for dual alternators. This moves it to the outside of the belt allowing you to change the belt with out dropping coolant out.

Re: Whitch belt is best?

Thanks guys that motorcraft seems the way to go and jopes Im lucky mine runs on the outside of the radiator hose and thank you for reminding me about that. I actuclly went and double checked. I was gonna stick with motorcraft and tried the gator back 3 years ago but man it chirped since day one I put it on so new tensioner set up and belt all from motorcraft seems the only way. thanks again
