you can rebuild them..they do go bad
i put them in the same job as injector cups.
if it aint broke i am not fixing it.
but there are a few videos on it, and it is cheaper then doing the cups, because of the cost of the tools.
if you are even dreaming of doing studs, especially one at a time doin it with engine out is easier.
when doing the oil pan the engine is suppose to be rolled over for like 24 hrs or so priod to putting pan back on , presumably to keep oil leaks on to sealant surface down.
