Did the ICP resistor mod the other day

Went with a 3.9k resistor. Holy crap! Can you say throttle response?! The idle is a bit too lopey for my taste, but the performance gains are way more than I anticipated them being. Can't wait to get a chip now, if this is any indication of how it will perform.

That is just a little taste of what a chip will do!

Re: Did the ICP resistor mod the other day

If you do end up getting a chip, it would be wise to remove the resistor.
Until then, enjoy!

absolutely. i'm trying to work out a deal right now with a chip. if this one falls through, i'll try another. either way, i'll have one within the next couple of weeks. i'll definitely be pulling the resistor out when the chip goes in.

the only thing i don't like is that when i romp on it for more than just a few seconds, it throws a code. granted, the ses light goes out within a few minutes, but i just don't like seeing it on at all. lol.

Its lopey because you are supposed to use a 5.6K resistor.

Re: Did the ICP resistor mod the other day

The code is because of the ICP pressures. The PCM knows something is wrong, just cant figure out what it is.

FYI... Your picking up maybe 20hp with any ICP mod.
