Go built or go home right?

Ok guys thinking about picking up a spare 7.3 engine and trans to build and put into my truck when finished. Was wondering what would be good internals to go with I'm doing Carillo rods. So what should I do for pistons and such like that? Including head work. I've got the trans already taken care of. Goin for big numbers so what would be good internals to go with from pistons to injectors to everything in between

If your actually serious and have the money to do it (at least 25 grand) your on the wrong web site. Visit powerstrokearmy and do ALOT of reading first.

Re: Go built or go home right?

i would do hyprmax rods instead of the Carillo rods..
that wont be what lets loose first.

but yes you will need a big wallet..some of the big shops can help you get there or close.
800 is do-able but usually involves spray. hp is hp.

girdle, or bed plate, main studs, coated mahle pistons, hypermax (rods, valves and pushrods, and springs), h11 studs, custom cam from gearhead maybe, some 3k worth of machine work on the heads. big oil, some serious sticks, an ati damper or fluidamper, melling oil pump, di headers, compounds , and a bts .
you might be close after a ton of custom tunes and dyno time. and two stages of nos.\

ooor call blowby up and ask if he wants to sell his engine...lol
