I have a 2000 F350 CC Long bed as of right now my upgrades are
-AFE stage 2 colde air intake
-5" turbo back straight pipe

Im looking for a little advice about some preformance upgrades i have a rough idea of what i want to do but no idea witch order or what exactly is hould be looking for.
id like to do the 38r turbo, new injectors was thinking stage 2, and i know id have to upgrade the tranny to eb able to handle the hp so either a whole new tranny or just a few upgraded parts in stock.
also was looking at intercoolers, and upgrading the HPOP
Any help and advice would be apriciated for ive read the newbie looking for power forums and i was just lookign for a little bit more help specific to ME! ha thank you.

Re: Looking for more power!

Best thing to answer is what are your HP goals . Then we could help you with your questions. As for transmission your going to want a tc and valve body upgrade at the least.

Re: Looking for more power!

first you need to decide a horsepower, If it was me and since you wanna go with a 38r I would go with 238/100 hybrids, walbro fuel pump, and a reg. return for starters that should get you around 425-475hp. Also you might wanna go with 910 comp sprinds and push rods to keep the top end safe.

Unless your hpop is weak you wont need a bigger one and i pefer water meth over an intercooler but you dont really need either one for a daily driver and water if you tow a good bit. As for tranny get a bts valve body and when your tranny goes have bts build you one and he will take the $250 for the valve body

Re: Looking for more power!

bruce is right on the 500-550hp if your going for that much power do the tranny soon, if your going the route I was talking you can just upgrade your valve body for the time being it will keep your tranny together alittle longer but you will end up getting it completely redone at some point.

Re: Looking for more power!

Mild ...t500 hpop, st 1 injectors valve body and torque converter. Have Jody retune.
Fun...Sgt2 injectors t500 or adrenaline hpop same tranny mods and reburn.
Lotts of fun .....gt38r turbo and 238 injectors (did has a combo) tranny mods and reburn...hold just a bit back if no valve springs or studs....add those for insurance and think about a bts or similar tranny.
After that sky or wallet is the limit.

Hpop, turbo mods , regulated return, are always useful mods..at any power level.
Dual fuel pumps , studs, valve springs are handy at over 450 hp or so.

Early 99 f350 4x4 crew cab, auto. pmt2 pcm
2001 cup holder ,T500, MAX AC ASSIST AC mod, Diy Twin tymar, TS chip, Powerslots & Hawk pads, ford AIC, ..... with big fat want to list.

Re: Looking for more power!

Do the valve body if your not doing the whole tranny. Don't spend the money on a TC that you won't be able to reuse when the whole tranny craps out. Trust me on this one.

Southmike, don't install that ARI if you haven't already. I think it is junk.

I have $2000 wrapped up in a JW valve body(still using), ARI TC(Junk) and 2 used trannys(one in and one waiting to get used) Had I just saved up, I could have gotten a BTS and saved some headache. However, I can change out a tranny, just a TC, or valve body like making a sandwich now so I learned a lot.
