Recon Winch question

I'm thinking about buying a recon 10,500 lbs winch with synthetic rope for my truck its a 2000 F350 crewcab long bed.I know Warn is a great winch but i just dont see spending 13-1800 on a winch im not gonna use alot and i wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with them or positivie things to say thank you Matt

2006 F350 ext cab long bed 6 spd.starting all over on her.general grabber A/T 2 powermax,egr delete,gaskets,sct,mbrp 4" straight pipe exhaust,blue spring kit,glow shift gauges,sinister coolant filtration kit.

I bought a Badland winch from HF. It is the 12K version. Steel cable though. Was 329 bucks. Works like a champ. I have used it many times already including winching a 40k rescue/engine and it worked just fine. It is not fast but who wants a fast moving winch at those weights.

97 F-350 XLT CC DRW 4X4 PSD, 285/75-16 Custom bumpers, Gauges-boost/egt/trans, Swamps IDM, 3.5"dp- 4" exh., 3" Body lift, ES bushings/mounts, Built trans, billet conv, B&M pan, Hayden cooler, Adrenaline, stage 2's, IC, H2E, E-fuel

buddy has a 9500 recon on his jeep & i seen it work under water & he has had his for 3 years & it works great & his came with a wireless remote

2000 f350 drw, grages, 4" down pipe, 4" dp back , FRx, 6637 filter, ccv kit, PHP tuner

Check out engo winches. 12000# can be had for 349 with free shipping.
E12000 12,000 lb. 12 Volt Electric Winch
This is the winch ill be going with based on the testing done by one of the major offroad mags. personel experience stay away from the hf ones. i run a warn on my offroad rig but agree with you on the once or twice a year thing.

I did not know Recon made winches

they can't even make good light bulb housings ,, I am not counting on their winches

however they are probably rebaged
