h2e ex housing ?

ok i got a 19cm on it now and was a great step up from the 17. my question is that was w/ 80%nozzles on my hybrids, so now i got 200% nozzles and was wonderin if the 19 was a good match or if something like a 21 would be better? also the charger is not modified in anyway. maybe someone thats run both? thanks for the input

Re: h2e ex housing ?

Check your drive pressure, if it's a fair amount higher than your boost, try stepping up to a 21cm.

When I was going to run an H2e, 275's and my auto, it was suggested that I run the 19cm and get a feel for it, and then try the 21cm because of the auto. I never ran my H2e though, so I'm not sure how it would have worked.

Re: h2e ex housing ?

ok. ya if you can find one do it. i will say it smokes more down low, but lites at the same rpm and same max boost.

can i accuratly measure back pressure if i take the back press. sensor out and plumb a guage there?

Re: h2e ex housing ?

i run a 19 with the twins, but i have a 21cm here to try. Im not sure what the backpressre was with the mod h2 and the 17 but it made 550 on fuel. never dynoed the 19cm housing on fuel but it feels better than the 17 did. im going to hook a backpressure gauge with the 19 and see how things look then do the same with the 21

Re: h2e ex housing ?

When people refer to the modded H2E Im pretty sure the just change the comp wheel and comp housing...........The exhaust housing stays the same as far as the wheel ?

so technically a 17cm off of my 62mm H2E would work with a 66mm Modded H2E and vise versa

Re: h2e ex housing ?

I ran a 17 on my 66mm and blew the headgaskets. I went to a 25cm housing and 3" exhaust wheel to get the drive pressures back under control, but now the street manners suck. If anyone has a 19 housing they would like to get rid of let me know.
