Hydro lock after injector swap

Just changed my injectors and I thought I had the cylinders good and purged, go to start and it won't turn over, tried just bumping the key to get it to roll past, but no go. What is the best way to get past this situation.

roll it over by hand with a breaker bar a few times.. should free up just fine.. i have had to do that a few times... unless you want to do it the hard way and pull the glow plugs on a few cylinders..

Yup just turn it slowly with a breaker bar and the fluids will seep past the rings. But make sure you change your oil! It's gonna have fuel in it now.

pull the glow plugs, disconnect the valve cover harness and turn over with the key multiple times.

Re: Hydro lock after injector swap

So i am guessing you should pull the glow plugs and unplug the harness to get everything out of there and crank it prior to putting everything back together to prevent it from doing what the OP said has happened?
