AFE filters: Replace or rechargeable?

Are the AFE II intake filters rechargeable? I do not have the proguard 7 filter. If i cannot recharge it, where can i buy replacements?

Re: AFE filters: Replace or rechargeable?

AFE filters can be washed & oiled, then reused. you only need to buy a replacement if your filter is damaged. Doesn't matter if it is pro guard 7 or not.

Assuming you don't have the dry guard (or whatever they call their non-oiled filter) make sure you use the oil, as I think a dry filter would not filter too well.

Re: AFE filters: Replace or rechargeable?

The pro guard 7 has more layers of media (7, but I could be wrong), so it claims to filter better without restricting airflow.

If you ask the manufacturer, they'll tell ya no. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the oils from different companies. I myself have always used the oil from the same manufacturer.
