Performance Unsatisfactory

Got my truck back to work. I definatly do not have the performance that I had hoped for. I have towed 600miles with it since yesterday. I can not seem to clean up the fuel, I get some form of black smoke in every tune. In stock tune I have a little smoke and higher egt's than normal. I can hit 1200* in stock easy. 40T tune I have fair amount of smoke, and had to either down shift or getout due egts. It only worsen in the higher hp tunes. I can acheive 28psi boost easy, turbo lags just like the stocker. I have not been able to find any boost or exhuast leaks. I don't know what kind of problem I have. I think the trucked towed better before I did the change. The truck won't even lite the tires with 5psi boost launch in 140 tune. Going today to find out how much pressure the hpop are maintaining.

Re: Performance Unsatisfactory

TN BB/high flow outlet with big oil and good tuning? You have problems somewhere......It should not run hot. Check for boost leaks or exhaust leaks.

Re: Performance Unsatisfactory

I meant from a deadstop the turbo is lagging. I install Regulated return, BTS HPOP, TN BB, Hiflow outlet, Non EBPV pedistal, DI Bellowed up-pipes, New Tunes from DP.

Re: Performance Unsatisfactory

Did you run that combo with the stock turbo or are you trying to compare the stock turbo without all the other stuff?

The discussion that was here previously has been moved to Smack so the op can continue on with his thread as intended.

Re: Performance Unsatisfactory

I just did everything I mentioned at one time. I was using the stock turbo and dp tuner before. What about fuel pressure, what kind of effects does it have. I have the regulator set 57psi.
