Turbo Suggestions for BD's...Looking for Opinions

I got my BD's (with .0075" EH PSD nozzles) and headstuds installed this weekend. The new injectors are great, and now I'm looking for some suggestions and opinions on what would be a good turbo upgrade. The van turbo I have now will work for a while, but EGT's are out of control. I quickly saw 1550* on a WOT run from a stop, before I backed out of it.

Since I drive my truck every day for work, driveability is something that I'm taking into consideration. I'm not looking for a drag race or sled pull monster, but am targeting somewhere around 500 RWHP.

Based on some opinions I've gotten from talking to a few people, I'm looking into a modified H2E, but would like to get some opinions from you all as well. Thanks for the advice.

h2e or hybrid h2e BUT IMO you will want a valve spring upgrade with either.

the new t-series and GT-K turbo kits are out for the 7.3. i have been salivating over them and actually mad i didn't wait for the kits, and that's definitely the route i'd go because you get the flexibility of being able to change sizes + ball bearing spool. .02

I guess I can hijack my own thread...so how difficult is a valve spring upgrade, and what are the consequences of not doing it?

CSI, I haven't ruled anything out yet.

As far as modded H2E's, I know there are a couple different variants out there, such as Bean's and Hypermax. Performance wise (spool, EGT, backpressure, etc.), what are the differences between them? Quicker spool is something that is important to me since I do a lot of driving around in town.

Edit: DSD, are these available through Black Widow?

Im not sure how hard it is to swap in the truck, ive never done it. I know there is several guys that have though. If you dont upgrade springs you can run into valve float from the higher boost and rpms which can bend push rods and break rocker arms.

Re: Turbo Suggestions for BD's...Looking for Opinions

Thanks Luke. I'd imagine if you rotated the engine around to have each piston at the top, and do one cylinder at a time, it could be done in the truck without too much difficulty.
