Give me your opinions

When I started my engine build my original plans were to keep it mostly stock with a few aftermarket parts, so it could stay together while Iím in school. The more I think about it the more since it makes to finish it off completely with rods and fire rings. Itís mostly my weekend warrior because I have a company truck. I have plans for weekend drag racing, sled pulling but nothing to hardcore just having some fun with it. Question is should I spend the extra cash for the rods and fire rings plus the headwork and gt42r kit? I would have to save for a few more months to get it all together, or just leave it the way I had it planned.
I keep going back and forth on it, I really want a built motor but I'm still in school, and I think the money will do me better in my savings or CD acct.
What do yall think I should do?

You might make $100 with that money in a CD. That's not enough for a REAL GOOD night out.

D it once you'll be happy you did!

Re: Give me your opinions

You got a spare engine your building up or gonna redo the one in the truck? If ya got an extra one its much easier on you timewise. Build it as you can then just swap it out!
BTW, . do it once, do it right, be done. (for a while anyway.)
Spend you money on the good stuff to make it live, then add power later. Do it the other way--add power, break stuff, replace, parts repeat....and its gonna get old and expensive real fast. Used engines are easy to find right now, and pretty cheap too. Let me know if ya need any help, or a place to work on it.

2000 f-350 cc lb dually 4x4, BTS transmission
[email protected] 90 mph on MT mud tires and 8,000 #
coming soon--97 cc lb 4x4

As long as you have extra money for the stuff you break... since that usually isn't considered..
