transmission choices

What transmission would you all recommend for a 550HP truck that will be doing it all. The truck will be daily driven, weekend sled pull or track truck, as well as pull my race car trailer. Any advice will be helpful and as always thank you and have a nice day.

Re: transmission choices

BTS has been my choice and the warranty has always been above and beyond anything I would have ever expected. Purchased it 5 years ago and started with 350 hp (corrected of course) and Brian is a top notch guy.

Just my opinion on transmissions.

Re: transmission choices

I SECOND BTS, great customer service, and you couldn't ask for a better transmission I doubt! I LOVE MINE, got about 90k miles on it between two trucks, and the last one probably put 40k on it towing heavy, (Grossing over 20k every trip, and up to 26k many times) Never missed a lick.

Re: transmission choices

I vote BTS with Stand alone that gives you insane control, and the full manual option.

That way you can have the control and fun factor of a manual tranny, without the negatives.

Yeah, I like your idea with the manual shifting, if I had the money I,d go BTS for sure, but I have a new Ford reman that I,m gonna put a tugger kit in and run that till it dies, maybe buy then I can afford the BTS.
