Water/Meth Injection

hey I know this is not a 7.3L question but maybe you can help I am currently in Japan and have a 2.5L intercooled turbo diesel it is in a 1989 Mitsubishi Pajero and I want to use a windshield washer pump and tank for a Water Meth Injection kit the truck was only a 1000 dollars so im really not worried about killing it. I have already made a exhaust and intake for it i also turned the boost up from the factory 7PSI to 17PSI but my EGT's are kinda iffy some times at cruising speeds there 600-800 depending on the hills and stuff but when pulling hard on steep long grades it hits around 1000-1100 when being worked really hard so I want to make and install a water meth kit to try to help control this any info on this topic. thanks and as always have a nice day

Re: Water/Meth Injection

I think he said the truck was only $1000 not the kit. Atleast I hope that's what he said.

Re: Water/Meth Injection

I dunno if the little pump can supply enough pressure or water for that to work properly

Re: Water/Meth Injection

Well, with that crappy little pump you can't try to run the flow post turbo because you would likely just get a bunch of air bubbles in your washer tank when the boost backfed the tank right through the little pump. And even if it did muster up more than 17lbs, it most likely wouldn't be enough for any reasonable flow rate nor "spray"

And you can't spray it pre charger because that crappy little pump isn't going to atomize well enough to keep your compressor wheel in one piece.

Might as well get a shurflow pump or similar.
