Easy Question for Those in the Know

Has anyone here ever replaced stock AD injectors with ACs (and appropriate tuning) while leaving everything else the same? What was the fuel economy difference vs the stock AD combo?

Just wondering,

You will gain roughly 30-50hp from that alone, a tad better fuel mileage due to the fact they are single shot injectors as opposed to split shot, stock. Your truck will idle the same as the OBS trucks, the sound is different, most of us here love that sound, i personally do.

I might have picked up a quarter MPG from the AC's (stock nozzles)

02 CC 4x4. AFE stage 2, Magnaflow 4" exhaust, BTS tranny, live-tuned by Jody, AC singles, DI regulated return, Terminator HPOP, DR 4.5" lift & some other stuff...

Fuel economy depends on tuning and driving style. Single shots have the ability to get better fuel economy over splits as you are not wasting fuel on the pilot injection.

okay but only 1/4 mpg better.... wow I would have expected better than that... maybe nobody has tuned them properly..... Just guessing as I have no proof of that... I would have expected at least another 10-15 percent better fuel economy potential..

Not pointing any fingers.... just saying that maybe this combo hasn't been explored to its full mileage potential...

Well since diesel is at its current price mileage tuning might become more popular...
