Early 99 question

This engine I scored for $1200 is out of an early 99. The tag on the engine says 06/98.

Is there anything I have to get or change to mount my 38R off my 2002?

Intake plenums

Should be able to swap those from your blown engine.

Real easy to tell if it's still an early 99 or not...... intake plenums will be smaller on an early 99 than what's on your 2002. You'll also see a shorter turbo pedestal and different up-pipes. If the engine is an early 99, then you'll need to swap all those things I mentioned over to it so you can fit the 38R. Don't forget about the intake spider too, that's different on the early 99...... and injectors..... and HPOP......

Yep, swap over your stuff & HPOP to that engine then re-install. Hope you get her up & running soon!
