Actually the engine was just delivered to the shop here and the build date is 12/98 ..
Real easy to tell if it's still an early 99 or not...... intake plenums will be smaller on an early 99 than what's on your 2002. You'll also see a shorter turbo pedestal and different up-pipes. If the engine is an early 99, then you'll need to swap all those things I mentioned over to it so you can fit the 38R. Don't forget about the intake spider too, that's different on the early 99...... and injectors..... and HPOP
