Re: Same old question

sounds better. Probably depend on if you are talking about the stock muffler or aftermarket. Aftermarket will flow better. Thats about all I know. I did away with it, sounds good.

Re: Same old question

the stock muffler seems pretty restrictive to me, I say remove it, and it will prolly lower your EGT's a bit to.

Re: Same old question

I'll be the oddball, turbo is too loud for me with straight pipe, but i have a regular cab chassis with exit in front of rear tire. i have a magnaflow straight thru, works well for me. no restriction.

Re: Same old question

You'll lower the EGTs, it'll help as you start to build more power but past stock you'd want better pipes anyway so a replacement system is in order.

Reg. cab with stacks. Rear window open all the time. Might be because I could "possibly" be younger.

You know what they say "If it's to loud, your to old." lol

Re: Same old question

I have a 4" stainless system right now, but I have heard from some that you can loose power taking off the muffler. ALso is it that much louder w/out the muffler.

ya, thats what they say "kid"
but i do sometimes drive my truck for about 20 hours straight, that noise gets old, like me! theres nothing wrong with a straight thru magnaflow.
