Grey smoke?

I just swapped my motor out, I put 275 cc stroked a codes in. I am running gtp38r, the highest I've seen is around 25 psi, I thought with these injectors i would be able to black out the sun, what is the cause of grey smoke, got lots of oil pressure terminator pumps. not sure what the fuel pressure is doing just a mechanical gauge under the hood. Also my check engine light is on, My programmer won't recognize the truck so what is a good scan tool for a 95.

Re: Grey smoke?

OK.. how many miles have you driven it since you built it? Also remove the oil filler cap and check blowby at idle.

Re: Grey smoke?

10 miles since it has been installed, My blow by is about the same as the video on here, I got the ccv delete also, at idle you can notice a haze, I put my hand under it and can't feel a blow

Re: Grey smoke?

OKay, well I think the grey smoke is clearing up, I was under the hood and noticed that the waste gate rod was turned all the way out, so I turned it in a fair bit, also about how much threads should be showing,The highest boost I've seen is 30 lbs, but I keep blowing intercooler connections, pre cooler, do they make wider clamps or better clamps also should a guy get smaller ones so they can be clamped tighter.

Re: Grey smoke?

Keep cranking the wastegate till you get 40psi boost. After that it's your call if you want to run it higher or not. If you can't get it to 40 you either have wastegate issues or you have exhaust/boost leaks.
