1.15 housing ordered for PDR turbo!

Well, I have been trying a 1.00 housing on my PDR turbo for a little while now.

I can say that the EGTs have been much more manageable than with the .84 housing. Turbo spools nicely still still at around 1800, maybe just a touch slower than before. The only thing I noticed was highway driving my boost dropped from 5 PSI down to 2 or 3 PSI....

Thanks to Mike at Air Flow Systems, I ordered a 1.15 non gated housing tonight. I am excited to try this on the PDR. I know this is a completely untested housing on this turbo, but so was the 1.00, and so far its been great... I know that there are lots of you out there running the 1.15 very successfully on the 38R, so I am very optimistic on how it will work on this PDR turbo.

For those of you looking for a turbo this one comes highly recommended from me. Dave is a first class guy and is always willing to help, a added bonus of a great product!

I will let you know how it goes with this housing on... depending on shipping I will get it on as soon as it gets here!

Cheers
Bob

Re: 1.15 housing ordered for PDR turbo!

Running 215 CC swamps hybrids and a TN BB with no big oil I was running 371in my 80 economy tune....

With Stage II injectors and a PDR turbo with a 1.00 housing I dont think you will have to detune to keep under 400... Running an economy and a moderate race file should both keep you under 400...
