Some help with gauges.

I got my gauges, and before I mess up my a pillar,I would like some help. Anybody know a link to an install of the pillar over the stocker and cutting the holes and whatnot? or some pointers?

Re: Some help with gauges.

I don't quite understand your question, i'm not meaning to be a smartazz, but you are supposed to just buy a new a pillar, with gauge pockets already in it. and you just yank on the old one to remove it. i don't think anyone here has cut holes in their oem a pillar to install gauges. do you need a link to buy the a pillar?

I think he is talking about drilling the holes in the factory pillar to run the wires. Correct?

Re: Some help with gauges.

I have a 3 gauge that lays over the factory one. I just set it on there and marked holes for push pins. I have had good luck with a 1/2 drill size or a smidge bigger hole kinda at the base of the bottom gauge pod on the OE piller. I like to hide all my stuff as much as possible.

Re: Some help with gauges.

Yes the one I recieved goes over the stock one if I am understanding correctly. There are some "christmas tree" tabs to mount it to the stock one.

Re: Some help with gauges.

Pull your factory one, line the overlay on it drill a few small holes for the push pins, one at the top and bottom on each side and one in the middle...

You will also need to drill a hole thru the factory one for your wiring unless you can fish it thru the handle holes.
