The true meaning to a 500+ daily driver

Whoever thinks big injectors, big single turbos, and heavy towing don't go together may want to reconsider. Just pulled this 38ft triple axle enclosed trailer 270 miles through Idaho and Utah. Trailer weight is just over 10,000lbs and is 8ft wide on the nose. Talk about tugging a brick wall around

Running 76mph it drank 7 gallons of water in 160 miles and got 9.8mpg. Running 67mph it used about 4 gallons of water in 110 miles and got 11.7mpg.

I could tell the second the water tank ran dry, egt's sky rocketed. With water I couldn't get it over about 1240 degrees. Without it, it hit 1450 and I finally let out of it. The water injection kit works awesome! It's so cool to see that pyro start climbing then just all of the sudden stop, like it hit a wall.

PS-this was all done in my 120hp race tune that dynoed 506hp two weeks ago

Water system is the Snows MPG kit, three nozzles. One small one, I think 175mL. Starts at 4psi and is at 100% flow at 8psi. Then two larger nozzles, one is 375mL and one is 675mL. They start spraying at 11psi and are at 100% flow at 20psi.

So anything over 20psi and all three nozzles are spraying as much as they can. Very happy with it

Thanks stock F350 suspension up front, with 2" f250 blocks in the rear. Sits about an inch higher in the back. Plus it's different, everyone around here lifts their trucks.

That is cool. That's the thing I was always most proud about the PSD that AlanB built. 500 hp, daily driver, puller of our 35 ft fifth wheel and boat.

Nothing better than pulling a camper and boat over hills and such, then hooking up to a sled, and cranking in the 13s on the 1/4 mile at 6000 foot. We never trailered it to the track. In fact, we usually pulled up with the truck full of kids, rollerblades and soccer balls falling out. Alan would dump us off in the stands, then hit the track.

Gotta love that.
