shift points?

just curious to see what speed people are shifting into OD? Mine is shifting at 48 now, and I was thinking of raising it to 55.

Mine is around 40MPH under light throttle, around 55 at WOT.

Re: shift points?

I've found that depends on gearing, chip setting & your right foot. On the SD in 120 it won't go in till 45mph no matter how light your foot is. In the stock setting light on it it will go in around 40mph.

Re: shift points?

I have mine set to hit OD at 55mph when cruising around in auto mode.

I have to ask who the hell tuned the truck that hits OD at 55mph under WOT????

What a dog.

Re: shift points?

I'm still playing with it a bit, but 55 for DD seems about right for me. WOT, I think is about 70.

Re: shift points?

On my daily driver tune it shifts to OD at no less than 50 mph, no matter how light on the throttle I am. Jody also set it up to downshift at about 43. My tow setting will shift into OD at about 46 mph when empty, but I only use that tune when I have something REALLY heavy hooked up, and it usually doesn't hit OD until much later due to the load. My extreme tune can shift into OD at speeds as slow as 40 mph for some extra thick smoke when I want it, and it will lock the T/C in 2nd. When I'm racing, of course it shifts into OD at a much higher MPH.
