Just too much fuel???

well just got back from the track and I am kind of dissappointed. Ran a [email protected] on my hot tune and a [email protected] on the stock tune. Now these are not big oil tunes, which I need to get here one of these days, but what gives. I thought it would be a little faster than that. Would it make sense that there is just too much fuel for the stock charger, and it is kind of flooding it?(275cc A codes w/.012 edm nozzles) Or is it a possible hpo/injector issue that needs to be worked out.

Also it feels a lot more responsive in the stock tune vs. the hotter settings. Something seems fishy to me.

Time to add air!!! h2e...qssb take your pick. could also be hpop. I think you need more air first, then go after the oil.

Re: Just too much fuel???

well there is a ht3b coming next week and then when money allows a nice bb drop in and they can go to work as partners in crime.

But could there actually be just way too much fuel to burn making it run like this.

Re: Just too much fuel???

Too much fuel with a stock turbo will cause the engine to choke itself. Basically you aren't getting enough air, the air you are getting is too hot, and you are running too much backpressure.

Re: Just too much fuel???

Well I can litteraly stop traffic on a 4 lane (found that out accidentally when my buddy pulled up next to me) and the egts are somewhat cooler in the higher settings. They dont peg as quick as the stock tune does but 1700* is not hard at all to hit in the 1/4.

Re: Just too much fuel???

Yes more air and get your chip reburned for the Big Oil. Your not seeing the full benefits without a reburn.
