DP 140 question

with my current set up (not much) i can't tell a seat of the pance difference between 80E and 120? is this the norm? i'm thinking about going with a 140 tune when i refash my chip, will this produce a noticeable gain over 80E?

Re: DP 140 question

U probably dont have a enough oil to support the 120 or 140 tunes. This is where dual hpop's come into play.

Re: DP 140 question

My guess would be if you cant notice a difference with 80e and 120 you probally do not have enought supporting mods to make the extra power. Just a WAG...

Re: DP 140 question

Like the others said, you just don't have the oil pressure. Adding a 140 hp tune will probably give you a bit more smoke, but if you can't tell the difference between 80 and 120, then it will probably be the same with the 140.

Re: DP 140 question

that's what i suspected. i don't want to spend the money on oil right now. it's kinda weird though cause with my 80E the truck pulls really hard, almost like i have stock, 40t, 120, 120. the 120 was added last so i'm wondering if maybe i already had a 120 by accident.

maybe DP will chime in and help me out.

Re: DP 140 question

I can feel a diffrence between 80 & 120. Not a HUGE diffrence but it is noticeable.

The difference between the 80E and 120 when you get on it won't be much. The 80E is a strong tune because over the years people wanted the fuel econo but also wanted to be able to move it when needed. The 140ex and 140A are different in where Jody brings the fuel in. The health of your hpop will determine whether or not it will deliver just like the health of your trans or clutch will determine whether they can get it to the ground or not.

Hope this helps.....
