Re: tymar better than AFE 1?

I would send it back... The Tymar will flow more then the stage 1... You could get the Tymar intake that Airflo sells with a BIG ARSE AFE filter. That filter is huge!

You can get the filter directly from him as well. If I didnt have the stage 2 I would be running that filter.

Flow is a good thing! Although those filters let in some dirt, be careful if your in real dusty conditions!

for $53 why would you bother spending more My tymar kits have done a very good job of keeping the dirt out -How can a Donaldson filter not filter well?

Re: tymar better than AFE 1?

Air flows filter is only a pg5 so it does let some dirt by. I stick with the paper till he get's the pg7 afe filter.

2 fords that make no power

Re: tymar better than AFE 1?

My truck dynoed 5-6 hp more with a true Tymar over an old style aFe stage I at the 400 hp level. This was with 3 dyno runs on each on the same day, same dyno. Never a speck of dust using the Donaldson elements over 80,000 miles either. I like it

I just pm'ed him about this. He has just ordered the pg7 version but AFE told him they cannot do the inverted cone part of the filter like the pg5 version. Apparently, the material will not support it.
