Stomp brakes got brakes. Ease on brakes pedal goes to floor

2001 f350. Replaced hydroboost and master cylinder 6 months ago or so and now I’m having an issue with the brakes working fine if I stomp them but if I ease on the pedal I can push the pedal all the way to the floor. On one stomp at about 15-20 mph the brakes locked until I tapped the pedal and then they released.

Sounds like air in the lines, have you tried to bleed them?

I say it's a bad master. But I had an issue like that and it was a caliper.

Can you feel the ABS pump hit you on the pedal when you panic stop it?
Is the ABS light on?

I have replaced many abs modulators for this exact symptom of sinking pedal on easy stops but works fine on hard stops.

Make sure you have no sticking caliper slide pins first

Update. Appears to be a bad master cylinder. I changed the master when I changed the hydroboost months back but I guess it gave it up. Put a new master on and after a bench bleed and some pedal pumping I had good brakes back. Only put 10ish miles on it but so far so good. Thank you for the input
