Hey I am in need of a block as ol' Fubar has a ring problem and drinking a gallon of oil every 1000 miles. I was looking and I stubbed upon this. I plan to go down and get it Friday if I can use it. I did some googling and turned up nothing so I thought I'd check with those who know best.

Have you done a compression test?
Injector O rings can result in your oil loss easily
Replacing a 7.3 just because it is using oil? First you should do a blowby test and compression test IMO
It could be a simple O ring or injector issue
My 97 drank 14 quarts of crankcase oil in 50 miles, enough to shut it down.
I am still driving her today with same engine

I would not touch that cut away engine with a 10 foot pole, who knows where it came from, what it is, or who did the cutting, engine history etc

I guess I'm wondering if this is a joke? LOL...yeah, listen to 410. Have you done any diagnostics?
