Need Help ASAP... Batteries Dying, Batt Light On

My cousin just got his truck back from the body shop. '03 F350. Had a fender changed and a big dent in the box fixed.

Now the battery light is on and the batts die in an hour or two.

Put a new alt in and no change. Batts both load test good, all connections are clean and tight.

Any ideas?

Ok, sorry for the ASAP... he tried 2 new alts, and the same thing. Spun them both up on the bench tester and they were toast... 3rd one was good. Maybe just an alt problem? Anyway, truck is running great now.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still having a hard time believing it was an alternator.

Don't forget to check the fuse under the hood. I had the same problem with mine several years ago and it was a fuse that was the problem.
