I'm sure you know this, but i'll say it anyways...

the more negative offset, the more likely the tire is going to rub if your trying to maximize the tire size. but if you go too far with the positive offset, you risk rubbing the steering linkage and other stuff. We didn't have an issue with the 18s and 5.5 backset, but 17s would have been real close
