That is correct, the 2011 trucks have not place to read pre turbo EGT
thru the OBDII plug. There is a pre EGR
temp sensor, but that is only going to see exhaust temp when the EGR
is open and functioning so it isn't a good place to monitor. Add to that when the EGR
function is turned off with the programming it will never function or read EGT
. That leaves the only option to run the EGT
probe into the manifold like you have to on old trucks or even on current Dodge or GM diesels. Sorry to bring the bad news, but that's why we came up with these plates for a simple, no drilling your manifold solution.
