Passing the rev limiter

So this year I have pulled a few times and each time I have passed the rev limiter. The first time I didn't pay much attention to it till i heard it really turning the r's and seen it was at 4600 rpm!!!! The second pull was this weekend and I kept an eye on the rpm and it passed 4200 rpm and I had to lift and pedal it. Listen in the video

I didn't change the limiter in the programmer and last year at the same pull it worked.
Is there some thing I have to do to keep the limiter on it.

Also I have 4:10 gear and always seem to run out of gear if I keep it in 3rd Does anyone have the same set up and run it in OD. I did at one pull and it didn't even get to 3300 rpm during the whole pull.

Re: Passing the rev limiter

Thanks yeah it does pull nice have had very good luck with it. If people arn't hating on me for having a dually i really like pulling. I am normally the only ford that pulls.

Just to make sure I have a 5r110, not a stick. Yeah I have thought about running 4hi but didn't want to put the extra stress on the tranny. Figure I would try to keep the stock tranny alive for as long as possible.

Re: Passing the rev limiter

I understand you can set it in the SCT and I have it set at 4100 rpm
