what are safe egts while towing

My buddy has a 07 with innovative tunes and is wondering what are safe egts while towing. He has seen up to 1600 while towing up a 8% grade this weekend.

1600* is very high. Try not to go past 1300 stained. You can hit 1600 in very short amount of time for the longevity of your truck

He's pulling 10k with Ericsson tow tune. If he runs stock he sees up to 1400 deg.

Re: what are safe egts while towing

he needs to use common sense and know when to let off when towing, I would highly suggest keeping EGT's under 1250* while towing.

Where did he install the sensor. Pre-turbo or post-turbo?

I hear that Dodge is giving you a puppy with every truck you buy, so you'll never have to walk home alone again.
