Removing EGR Cooler?

I am gonna start tearing my truck apart to install my home made egr delete and I am wondering what all has to come out in order for me to do this. All I need is the cooler out, not the manifold. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Matt

if you pull the manifold out it will be much easier matt. remove the fuel/oil filter housing, remove the turbo and loosen the clamp by ur cat so the downpipe will move around a lil, pull the up pipe and take the scoop out and throw the plugs in your egr cooler. any help you need you got my number man

Re: Removing EGR Cooler?

Well i got everything yanked out. i plan on welding up the intake manifold or building a little block off plate for it. if i did build a plate what kind of gasket would i need to use to make sure it seals good? I also though about painting the manifold red. if i do that what kind of paint would i need to use to make sure it sticks to it?
