Is this normal, or oil cooler?

ok, I have gone through a bunch of threads with similar problems. But nothing that described exactly what i have here. My truck has had this junk on the cap of the overflow bottle for about 6 months. The truck doesn't smoke, overheat, run like junk, use oil or coolant. This is my DD and has not towed anything bigger than a two place snowmobile trailer.

2003 6.0l, auto, 120k, sct livewire, 4'' exhaust.
thanks for any help, pics should be below.

Looks like emulsified oil. Ever had youe oil cooler replaced? EGR cooler? Had a look at EOT vs ECT at operating temp?

Re: Is this normal, or oil cooler?

I have owned the truck for about 8 months. I have not replaced anything yet, and oasis came up clean. So i think everything is stock. I haven't looked at EOT vs ECT yet. I cant get my livewire to show EOT.

That might be. the residue on the cap and bottle looks green, but the coolant in the jug looks more like a yellow.

Re: Is this normal, or oil cooler?

I think oil cooler or EGR cooler. But the EGR cooler doesn't explain oil in the coolant. In the five times I've done HG's, I haven't encountered this issue yet. But there's still time.

Re: Is this normal, or oil cooler?

From all the other oil cooler threads i have looked at, there is a lot of oil in the coolant. There doesn't seem to be much oil in my coolant. Just what is on the cap.

Re: Is this normal, or oil cooler?

Drain it, flush it out with VC9 from Motorcraft, then put in the yellow coolant from Ford. The green stuff cavitates the metal. Ive never tried the VC9 and just recently found out about it but its supposed to work well for the 6.0s.

Re: Is this normal, or oil cooler?

Thats a good idea, i think i will flush it before i go any further. If the oil cooler is bad, will there be a lot of oil in the coolant?
