injectors

Hey guys,my friend needs new injectors for his 6.0 and was wondering if it would be safe or a good idea to run one step higher then stock.He only uses it to tow his boat and would it be worth it or should he just get stock injectors? Also where is a good place to get them from?

I wouldn't do it without the supporting mods to go with it. No sense in having larger injectors on a bone stock truck. Think he would cook it. What's the story on said truck?

Unless he is gonna go with a really mild injector, then like irontx25 said, injectors are just one part. your looking at other mods. I think some folks are getting away with 190's and stock turbo's barely, but I have 190's and a beans turbo, and it gets damned hot.

He just wants stock injectors but told him one step up might be better..... Am I wrong?

He said it has a very hard time to start with alot of bluish smoke and he can smell raw diesel but once it starts and warms up it's alot better and easyer to start if that makes sence.

sounds like some spool valve stiction.what oil does he run?

i cant keep injectors in my truck idk whats up with it i use red died diesel sometimes but idk what could have cause it unless its my fuel pump is not up to full pumping order

low fuel pressure and/or dirty oil will kill injectors every time.

Has he tried running some rev-x through it? If he has stiction issues, it will help get rid of that.
