Another SCT thread!

I just got my SF3 today....it is equipped with IDP's towing w/jake brake, extreme race, and extreme street......I plugged the evo up the other day and got my strategy code....but how do i find out if the tunes on this SF3 are for the same code?

2005 Lariat CCSB 4x4 6.0h crap what did we break
K&N FIPK, Straight Exhaust w/6" tip, SCT w/IDP tunes, High Idle Mod,Zoodad
Next: EGR Delete

Did you give Eric the code when you ordered the tunes? If you did they are written for the same code

If you bought it used I don't think there is any way to tell what strategy the tunes are for...

2006 F250 CC LB FX4 Lariat
ARP studs, SCT X3 IDP & Gearhead tuned, S&B CAI, straight pipe, FASS 150/180, FCDP solid uppipe, Dieselsite coolant filter
2.5" BTS leveling kit, 35" Xtreme A/T's on XD Hoss 18's, N-Fab prerunner bar w/ 3 9" Hellas
Pioneer double din, JL components, 3 10" Pioneer subs

Would it be dangerous to try it? Could it mess something up if they are different strategies? Or will it just not tune it

I think it will just give you an error code, but if you screw something up you can't blame me

I've ran tunes from different strategies before, and they run, just the tranny shifts like crapp...

Well I tried it...it runs very strong....but its like it doesnt wanna downshift unless i really give it some throttle....doesn't shift any smoother than it did either.....must be wrong strategy

Were you cruising with the converter locked when you gave it throttle to downshift? Eric's tune will stay in the final gear with the converter locked unless you give it a good amount of throttle input.
