Concerned!!!

I have recently bought a 6.0 03 F350. I would like to do an exhaust and intake, a sct CTS tuner and bigger tires. This is a daily driver and would like to know if I need to do the Head stud kit? I have read many posts about the head studs going out in these trucks. My truck was owned by a moving company and has 210,000 miles on it roughly. It is in really good shape though. Brand new radiator Water pump Serpintine belt and Air conditioner compressor Compliments of Michael Tires plus!!! Opinions please

Re: Concerned!!!

With that amount of miles, you can probably count on needing studs and gaskets... probably new heads too as most of the high mileage, company trucks aren't treated very well by employees and they just run the piss out of them. Jmo

You never know... only way to find out is either load the tune on and run it, or just tear into it now and be done with it.

Black smoke don't mean it's broke... it means your tuning sucks!

Re: Concerned!!!

Well my recommendation depends on whether or not you have the kind of money to do it right from the start or not.

If you have the money and the ability to have the truck down for a few days then I would say you might as well tear into it and do the studs/heads, egr delete, coolant filter, gauges, tuner, exhaust, might as well do an AirDog/Fass setup cause that stock fuel pump will probably be on its last leg.

If you don't have the money right now then just go ahead and run the programmer/other mods and have fun until it breaks all while putting money away/saving for studs and the other supporting mods.

Re: Concerned!!!

Thank you to everyone! I think I will follow Pain Train and just do everything. I actually have the money to put into it this time!
