175's or 190's...what would you do?

I bought some Casserly 190's off of Countryboy07 on here (thanks Josh!) and we're sending them to Cass to go through before they come to me. Question is...should I leave them as 190's or dial em back to 175's. the truck is a daily driver and will make occasional passes down the track. I want a fun truck on the street that will make some good numbers (shooting for 500). I'll have the stock turbo for a few months until I go to a bigger VGT. Whattya think?

A good set of 155's, proper turbo, and a good tune...

Will destroy a 5r110.

Just my .02, but like I said on the phone the other day, use caution. Unless you're out to break $hit like me.

Porch Monkey. It's cool, I'm taking it back.

my personal advice would be. go big or go home! if you dial back to 175's your gonna want 190's! i know whenever i build something i always end up doing it again to go bigger!

I thought the 5r110's were pretty stout if tuned properly? I'm usually pretty easy on the truck. just the occasional wot run up the onramp or something. I'll be taking it to the track some too. I just like to know the power is there if I need it.

i would go with 190's but sooner or later you'll need a trans

2002 ext. cab lwb 4x4 7.3
05 front 08 rear conversion
4in lift,forged rod motor,tunes by tsd,bts trans,6.0 transcooler,6 autometers to watch,studs,springs,push rods,238cc hybrids,itp reg return,stealth hpop,tsd custom fuel system and sump,an so on
6.0's pay the bills and 6.4's soon..

I tell you what, leave the truck the way it is...

Drop your truck off at my house or MrJohnWayne's house.

Then have a wrecker come by after 24hrs.

190s are good. the 5r will hold fine with those injectors. A built transmission can fail too. its all in the tuning and drivers foot.

Re: 175's or 190's...what would you do?

you can make 475-500 with 175cc with a few upgrades like adding a hpop a good turbo like a garrett powermax ,fuel rr and pump, and eric's extreme race can put you around there. for sure 190cc can get you there. but the 175 are a tad bit better for dd and towing. ask rescue250 he dynoed at 500 with 190cc. shawn built a twin turbo set up for a guy running 190cc he said around 600 with a extreme tune and 500-525 witha tow tune

As much as I wanna say go with the 190's. Dirk is right more often than not. So only go 190's if you have more room on the credit card.
