dually tires

I would like to put 295/70 17" tire on my stock wheels (6.5" wide). I know I will need a spacer. I also know the manufacturer recomends 8" wide wheels.
I have read about others doing what I want to do and would like to know this.
How has it worked out? Any problems? Any pictures of this set-up?
Thanks for any help you may have answering these questions.

Re: dually tires

If you use it for towing heavy or loading the bed I would not recommend it. There is a reason there are required wheel widths..

Re: dually tires

I know but I can't find what I really want. I would like to take the dually adapter off the front change the wheel to hold the bigger tire. On the rear I would like to have the correct width tire for the stock rim with the same diameter as the front.

Re: dually tires

I run 305/70/17 Nitto terra Grapplers with a 2" spacer and havent had any problems yet. I've had 5-6k lb of tongue weight off road with my gooseneck and it's holding up fine.
