Turbo leaking oil??

I have had a blue smoke prob for awhile on start up. Took the turbo apart to clean it and found the exhaust side coated w/ oil. There did not appear to be any play in the shaft itself.

I just uploaded an agg street tune from innovative and now I get a ton of blue smoke on start up and when at idle. Truck still pulls hard and no puking coolant

Any thoughts on the prob?? Thnx DJ

Re: Turbo leaking oil??

Mine just started doing the same thing heavy Bluish smoke, once it warms up it goes away and I roll coal like normal.
The only thing I did just before it started this was put some diesel additive in the tank with injector cleaner.

Now I have this god awful blue smoke.

Re: Turbo leaking oil??

When you pulled it apart, did you replace the seal? If you have oil in the exhaust side, your seals are shot. Not sure if rebuild kits come with the required seals or not, I know the dealer swapped a new center section in mine.
