turbo issue??

i been having problems with the truck lately and for some reason when i left the house this morning, i was watching the boost gauge. off idle, it usually reads 1 or 2 pounds of boost rolling out of the driveway. its been taking a long time to warm and when i accelerated it smoked like a blueish white and then clean itself out. but when i watched the gauge this morning it took alot of throttle to get it to boost over 5 psi which i thought was weird....hmmmmm.... im thinkin the vanes are stickin now... and inside the cab the turbo sounds different too. does this sound about right???

i love lift laws...and police...and equipment violations!!

Re: turbo issue??

yeah, i store the truck from thanksgiving to the end of march. this year i kept the truck in a different building that was heated so i didnt start it the whole time it was in storage. as soon as i got it out it has been running bad, or not like it usually does. what does it involve to clean the vanes up so its not sticking anymore? is it a job to do or not too bad?
