Adam, were'nt you saying you were seeing a revised set of torque specs in newer sets? Does this jive with what you saw?

Agreed.

With all the back and forth about this torque vs. that torque what the mfg. recommends seems to get lost in the shuffle from time to time. There's a bunch info and opinions on the net, some good, some bad. Easy for people to choose the wrong path sometimes.

Let's not forget about how long moly lube, oil, and diesel butter have been used. How many engines are running on that torque.

Now their own lube isn't any good. Hmm. Me thinks I'll worry more about surface prep than 35 ft lbs.

I torqued to their "new" spec and added another 5 for good measure. Hope they hold.

with the new lube they are said to snap at 270

So what is wrong with 235? Mines been that way 3 years with no problems.

old lube was 245LBS now with the new lube its 210LBS
