EGR delete or weld
I have a tig welded egr and I wanted to know if I should do anything else beside just popping it in do I need to do anything else or should I just pony up and spend the money on a sinister diesel egr delete?

A delete kit is composed of covers which bolt on to close off the spots for the EGR cooler and EGR valve. From the sound of it, yours are already welded shut, so you won't need a delete kit....so long as they did it right of course.

I may be misunderstanding you. Are you saying the EGR valve itself has been welded so that it cannot open?
