New passenger side uppipe? again

I have put a couple passenger side up pipes on one of our hot shot trucks, 04 6.0, it keeps tearing the expansion joint up and leaking,

Any body else out thier make a better up pipe?

Re: New passenger side uppipe? again

Mine were getting rubbed through by the exhaust down pipe from the turbo.
After I made it a straight piece...it was good.

you have a driver side up pipe and turbo Y pipes coming, you will still be using your passenger side FCDP solid up pipe.

Re: New passenger side uppipe? again

how does that work now that it cant heat up and cool down and stretch, How do you figure the exact length in order to get a good seal on both end since nothing can give now?

They have these things called measuring tools. Are you seriously asking this?

Re: New passenger side uppipe? again

ok, you just lost all respect from me

every truck i have worked on is diffrent, the expansion joint allows for some give to allow the pipe to pull into place and seal

when ya go to a solid pipe how is this achieved? you take flex couple and pull on it will measure diffrent then others
