Talking need some mod help

I have decided to cross to the dark side and mod my 6.0. As of right now I have a 4" turbo back exhaust (cat delete) and an SCT with custom tunes.

My first priory is head studs and an EGR delete. Should I next do injectors and a fuel system? or a turbo upgrade first? I know I want a non-VGT (i hate that stupid whistle, sounds like a vacuum cleaner).

As for sticks I want something around 175-190ml. What fuel mods will I need to support this? I want an airdog 2, but I don't know what else I need fuel system wise.

Thanks for the help guys. This will be a DD that tows a car trailer every once in a while

Re: need some mod help

I'm doing the same rite now I have 190s and I'm running a AirDog150. U will need a pump what brand that's for u to pick some people like AirDod some like FASS and uthers like uther brands. Like I was told u can run the stock turbo with 190s. So I would do injectors and suporting mods u can always do a turbo in the future. Also remember u should do a oil cooler rebuild y u are in that far. U should also look into a oil and coolent filtration system all good suporting mods and will make a big dif in the long hall good luck with the build hope I helped some

Re: need some mod help

you cant run a stock turbo with 190s, if your going to Tow alot i recommend 155 sticks, you can run those with a stock turbo. When i do my fuel system upgrade i plan on using airdog 2. headstuds and an EGR delete are a good thing to do. If your wanting 190s youll probably run hot depending on how heavy you tow. CAI wouldnt be a bad thing either.

Re: need some mod help

towing would only be 3-4 times a yr.

with an airdog2 do I still need a reg return or anything else to support the injectors?

Re: need some mod help

you can run 190s with a stock turbo. it wont hurt anything your tuner just has to know what he or she is doing. i ran my stock turbo with 205s for towing. that got a little warm but i towed a heavy trailer. what kind of towing are you doing? how heavy

I have been looking at RCD's 175's. I don't know if 190's would be too big of a jump or not. What fuel supporting fuel system mods would be needed?

Re: need some mod help

i would talk to whoever you order the injectors from. you will at least need a lift pump.

Re: need some mod help

Anything over 155 is a definate for some sort of fuel upgrade. With 155's I'd at least do a cross over and drill the banjo bolts or get upgraded ones.
